If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I would like for my site tagline as defined in WordPress to show up as part of my site title.
Currently, my home page is “Adam Bockler | “
I would like it to be “Adam Bockler | (site title)”
My other pages seem to be functioning just fine with their page title. For example, “Adam Bockler | Portfolio” works great, as does About, Contact, etc.
Any idea on how to solve this issue? Seems like an easy fix I might be missing.
On Theme Options > Frontpage Settings > Select your homepage.
I have verified that my homepage has been selected as “Home.” However, the title tag still only contains the Site Title, and not the Site Tagline. The Tagline is what I’m looking to include.
On your Settings > Reading. Did you set Front page displays as static page? If yes, set it back to “Your latest posts”.
If you want to control it more, you can find it on your header.php. Look for this line.
<title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?> | <?php is_home() ? bloginfo('description') : wp_title(''); ?></title>
