    created menu as per instructions in theme documentation however the links when clicked on do not load the page they are associated with. Instead they act as null links

    I tried deleting the menu items and plugging everything back in – got an error where it was trying to display the contents of the entire page on the main home page screen….

    here is the link to the site: http://rippdemup.com

    Hey,

    have you tried using your wordpress menus? Under Appearance > Menus you can edit your menu and change to where they link. You can also add/delete links to pages here.

    that is what I have been using. No matter whether I add the page link directly or add it by checking off add page, the links dont work. Whenever you click on a link it just stays on the main page.

    Just put links up there so you can see what I am talking about.

    I tested the custom menu widget and it works with the wp menu fine. It is something in the header that is causing the menu not to work at all.

    Hey,

    in style.css replace

    #top .nav{
    position: relative;
    height:36px;
    list-style-type: none;
    list-style-position: outside;
    margin:0;
    z-index: 6;
    font-size: 12px;
    float: left;
    }

    with:

    #top .nav{
    position: relative;
    height:36px;
    list-style-type: none;
    list-style-position: outside;
    margin:0;
    z-index: 20;
    font-size: 12px;
    float: left;
    }

    Hey thanks for the response, Unfortunately I tried that and its still doing the same thing. Tried deleting out the whole menu and creating a new one and still nothing. I even tried to generate a custom menu widget to see if that would work. That worked. It is just that top menu that will not work for some reason.

    Try to change following code in style.css:

    #top .logo, #top .logo a{
    display:block;
    height:161px;
    width:768px;
    position:absolute;
    left:2px;
    top:3px;
    border: none;
    padding: 0;
    margin:0;
    z-index: 10;
    }

    to:

    #top .logo, #top .logo a{
    display:block;
    height:100px;
    width:768px;
    position:absolute;
    left:2px;
    top:3px;
    border: none;
    padding: 0;
    margin:0;
    z-index: 10;
    }
