I use DesktopServer (installs XAMP and allows you to develop multiple WordPress sites on your local hard drive) for WordPress development sites and for some reason it’s not behaving with Enfold. I created 5 other WordPress installations using DesktopServer and 5 different themes, just to make sure that the problem didn’t lie elsewhere. Do you have insight into what might be going wrong?

I made a screencast to show you exactly what happens, you can find it here. Sorry about the annoying watermark on the video.

    Thank you!

    Hey Tali!

Hard to say without knowing exactly what the XAMP settings are. My guess would be some server side setting or memory allowance isn’t set correctly which is causing the install to just fail.

If you have a live server you can use or have used in the past you could compare its settings with your own to see any difference and try adjusting from there. without a log or error on whats happening I’m not sure what we could suggest.

    Cheers!

If I sent you the error log generated by xamp do you think you could point be in the right direction?

    Hey!

    Maybe, post the latest logs.

Also, have you tried MAMP? i personally use it with Enfold and i haven’t experienced any issues so far.

    Regards,
    Josue
