    Hi,
Enfold is a great theme, easy to use and beautifully designed.
One not-so-nice thing concerning the editor is that it’s not possible to switch between standard editor and avia builder (even more strange: reading the threads, this seems to be intended). But that’s what we got used to.

What is a real problem, though: I cannot add content to an existing site anymore.
    To be precise:
    – Changing text in an existing article is possible.
    – Creating new pages with new content is possible.
    – Adding new content to an existing page (image, new text or title element) deletes part of the existing content and doesn’t show any of the added content. I tried it with drag&drop, adding it from an own template – nothing worked.

Really looking forward to your reply and help.

    Thanks and best regards
    Denise

btw: The site is freshly updated, including Enfold.

    Hey torstenw,

Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.

If that does not help there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,

I cloned the site (link below) and deactivated every single plugin (one by one and all at once) – the problem remains the same. Thus, no plugin conflicts.

Following that, I completely deinstalled Enfold and installed the latest version (Enfold 3.6.1) manually via FTP. Cleared the browser cache. The problem is still there.

Then, I systematically tried to pinpoint the source of the problem. The issue occurs on those pages already containing an avia image. On pages without avia images, it is no problem to include contents (I tried images, title, text).
If I delete the avia image on an existing site (e.g. Patienteninformationen) and newly add it, the problem is gone, and other contents can be added.

Thus: The problem only occurs on pages with already existing avia images.

Do you have any idea what might cause the problem? To exchange images on all sites is not a very tempting idea – especially since the problem could occur again later…

Thanks a lot for your help,
    Denise

    Hi Andy,
the topic can be closed now (or maybe looked into if the problem is a basic one and needs to be addressed for other issues as well): I decided to work around the problem and re-upload the images on pages where other content has to be added.
Not very elegant and not practicable on bigger sites, but OK for now and this case.
    Anyway, thanks for your help!
    Best regards

Yes, this is actually intended. The default editor and the advance layout builder are using different templates, the page.php and the template-builder.php file respectively. You can see a slight difference between these two templates so we don’t recommend switching the editors.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
