only just realized that my front page only works only while the admin is logged in. In a browser window with no one logged in, neither the slider or the rest of the specified template content appear. However, Portfolio template works correctly.
With admin logged in, the front page template draws as it should.
I've only been using vr1.2.2 of Brightbox.
Create a new thread and tell me what problems you are encountering and what you want to know. 
There is no step 3 :)
