When I try to go in to the home page and edit anything on it, the theme will let me open the Layout builder, but then it when when I click SAVE and then UPDATE on the page – nothing changes.
I have the most current version of the theme and wordpress.

Now it is happening with my other site.

    #680003

    Hi,

You are using older version of the theme on both sites. Please update Enfold to the latest version 3.7.1 – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

I am a website designer – so this is a child theme of Enfold.

I only downloaded the installable wordpress file. Do I reinstall? How do I not lose content?

    #680365

    Hi,

If you didn’t modify the theme files you won’t lose any content (regardless of using a child theme or not).

So all I do would be to uninstall and reinstall the wordpress only theme file to the domain?
It would keep all my content / settings?

I am sorry – not quite understanding how to update without entering in my theme credentials. Because I am a website developer, so do not use my credentials for the websites.

    Hi,

    Refer to this video:

Hello. I am using a child theme, so none of my content is lost. I tried to do the first step, I went in and re-installed the newest theme. ALL of my content was lost doing this. So I reverted back to my child theme where my content was. Again, I am NOT willing to lose my content. This is very frustrating. I do not think you are understanding the situation. I am a website developer. I download the installable wordpress only files, then create child themes so content is never lost. Now, I am unable to edit the site or add new things. Doing the steps above cause me to lose content. Please let me know the best way to proceed. Thanks.

    Theme Updates

Once you have entered and saved your Username and API Key WordPress will check for updates every 12 Hours and notify you here, if one is available

Your current Parent Theme (Enfold) Version Number is 3.5.4

The above is what my child theme says – so looks like parent theme is current. What can I do? Can you not login and get this done? It is happening to multiple sites.

    Hi,

You haven’t filled out your Themeforest username and API key, I think that is why you are not getting automatic updates.

    Regards,
    Rikard

    Rikard,

Correct. Because I use the installable only wordpress file….Can I enter in the username and API key for ALL the websites I have created? I am a developer – so I have done about 10 using this theme with installable only wordpress file… I am still not understanding.

    Thanks.

    #682861

Can you please give me the link of someone I can hire to get this done?

    #683464

    Hi,

What do you mean by “installable only wordpress file”? You can create more than one API key per license.

    Related links:

    https://themeforest.net/help/api
    https://themeforest.net/forums/thread/where-can-i-find-my-secret-api-key-/137373

Let’s do the “visitportatexas” site first. The api key is still missing on this one. Login to your themeforest account, generate an api key as instructed in the links above then put it in the “visitportatexas” > Theme Updates panel. Save changes then wait for a few minutes for the api key to take effect then refresh the page. If you can’t see a pending update, try to update the theme manually via FTP. More info here:

    Hello.

Great. I was now able to update the http://www.visitportatexas.com website.

It shows an error on the home page, which I assumed was fixable, so I went in to edit and now it will not let me go to the “Advanced Layout Builder” – button for it is there but when pushed it does not switch you so you can edit your site.

    Thanks for the help,

    Christian

    Hello,

I also went into http://www.liveporta.com and updated this to the current theme.

It is still not allowing me to save any changes – or edit the site.

    Please advise!

    #685196

Any reply to the two related sites above?

    #685204

    Hey!

Enfold 3.8 is now available on ThemeForest. Can you please update Enfold firstly and check if issue remains? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    #685244

    Hello.

I tired http://www.liveporta.com and it said updated successfully.

The issue still remains (cannot edit).

    Thank you.

    #685249

    Hello,

I also tried http://www.visitportatexas.com and it said updated successfully also.

The issue still remains (cannot edit) and the Home Page is also stuck on regular editor and you cannot toggle back to the Avia layout builder.

    Thank you.

    #685419

Neither one of the above websites are able to be edited.

Someone please get back to me on this.

    Any reply? Urgent!

    Hi,

ALB seems to be working as expected on the site you posted – http://screencast.com/t/Avd978wc

    Best regards,
    Josue

    #686540

I cannot see this because I do not have adobe flash.

I tried again, neither site is able to be edited.

    #686542

    Hi,

Can you check the JavaScript console (CMD/Ctrl + Alt + J) when the issue occurs? also, please disable JS concatenation first by adding this to wp-config.php:

    define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);

    Best regards,
    Josue

    #686545

I have no knowledge to be able to do this, nor do I know what you mean.
Can I pay you guys to get this done? I feel like issues with Enfold have been ongoing, and since I pay for extended support this should be something included to fix. Either way let me know.

    #686552

It just now started working, no idea why.

    Thanks.

    #687264

    Hi,

Ok, great. We’ll keep the thread open in case you should have any further problems on the topic.
