Unwanted ads in footer

   Hello. I have just noticed ads appearing in the footer on the sub pages of this site.
   Chrome browser.
   Very worrying! Has this happened before?

   Have you gone into Dashboard/ Appearance / Widgets? Go to the footer widgets and just remove the ads one. That is just in there as a sample for you. If you don't want it, drag it off to remove it.

   It's not actually in the footer. It's in the section under the footer.
   At the bottom of the ad it reads: This ad is supporting your extension Pagerank.
   I haven't added this extension. Just Yoast SEO. But I did allow tracking.

   Solved. The ad was an extension of Pagerank which I did install many a long year ago. It is an extension for Chrome only and tells you the Pagerank of the site you are currently viewing. I was easily able to disable the ad.
