This is the error message I get (i removed the URL in this post) I get when I download the newest version of the theme (from Aug. 7), unzip it and try to upload incarnation.zip to my WP site using the dashboard theme installation. Just to note, I deactivated the current version first, I also tried just doing it without deactivating.

Is there something else I need to do here? Don’t really want to overwrite the customizations and have to do everything all over again!

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    Destination folder already exists. /hsphere/local/home/smith/mydomainname.com/wp-content/themes/incarnation/

    Theme install failed.

    Hi smithwood,

This just means that your server is not set to allow your WordPress installation to write over the folder.

What you can do is one of two things: First, upload your theme via FTP following this guide: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750 or Second, talk to your hosting provider and ask them for assistance in setting your WP-Content folder to have appropriate chmod permissions for WordPress to write over the folders (typically 655 will do this).

    See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

    Regards,

    Devin
