    Hi,

I have received the update for version 1.4 and tried to install it but received the following message:

Installing Theme from uploaded file: themeforest-2388340-flagship-responsive-business-and-portfolio.zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    Hi AMLAccount,

That zip file is the whole package you get with the theme and not actually the theme zip itself. You need to first unzip that file and inside of it will be the flagship.zip file that you can upload directly through the wordpress ui.

Thank you. I have done that and now I get:

Installing Theme from uploaded file: flagship.zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    Destination folder already exists. /home6/divorcep/public_html/newleafes/wp-content/themes/flagship/

    Theme install failed.

In that case, you need to upload the theme update via FTP. What this is saying is that your server doesn’t allow wordpress to overwrite folders. So you can either update via FTP where you unzip the theme folder and then put the unzipped theme on top of the current folder (flagship right on top of flagship so it replaces the files) or talk to your hosting company about how to change the chmod permissions on the wp-content folder to allow the WordPress installation to overwrite files.

    Regards,

    Devin
