I just updated to wordpress 3.5.1 and when I view the homepage it says ‘You need to install and activate the WooCommerce Shop Plugin to display Products’. The WooCommerce plugin seems to be missing but when I try to install it says
Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/woocommerce.2.0.7.zip…
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/ju/st/ca/justcalljohnnie.com/public_html/ibiza/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/
Plugin install failed.
How to I get the WooCommerce tab to come back along with all my products.
You’ll need to contact your hosting provider to have them help you change the chmod permissions on your wp-content folder and sub folders so that you can overwrite them from within WordPress.
You also must update your theme to the most recent version in order to use WooCommerce 2.0+ so download the theme files from your downloads on Themeforest and you can install the theme files the same way you first installed the theme once the chmod permissions have been updated.
Alternatively, you can install the plugin and theme via FTP using the unzipped files for both.
That seems to have worked now, I just get a message now saying
Data Update Required – We just need to update your install to the latest version
Should I run the updater?
Thank you for your help
Yes, to use both WooCommerce 2.0+ and then updated theme files you’ll need to update the WooCommerce data in your database.
