Question:
How do I go about uploading a textured background in place of the single colour that is my Sidebar.
Obviously it needs to be an image that is repeatable (e.g. similar to a tiled/ repeating background on windows).
If this is not possible, then do I need a simply textured background which wont overly distort with the length of the sidebar.

Upload your image either through Media > Add New or FTP then add this to your custom.css or Quick CSS.
#sidebar_bg {
background:transparent url("path-to-image.jpg") repeat top left;
}You would change the "path-to-image" to wherever you uploaded the file. The "repeat" would tell the browser to repeat width and height.
