    Is it possible to use an icon for the home page? See example here: http://www.turkhitbox.com/themes/?theme=ux

    Hi wgijbels,

    Sure. You’ll need to do some css modification but its definitely doable.

    Use something like firebug for Firefox to inspect the Home item in your menu. Then you’ll add a text-indent: -9999px to the css for that button and a background image of the icon. Its a bit of a hack, but its the most straightforward way I can think of without adding anything to the actual theme files.

    See: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/fyi-firebug-tutorial-for-wordpress-users

    The final css might look something like(but a different number value for your specific home nav id):

    `#menu-item-283 {

    text-indent: -9999px;

    Thanks Devin, just to be sure – do i add this to the CSS field of the main menu settings – or as custom CSS?

    You can put it in your Quick CSS through the Option Panel or in your custom.css

    Best regards,

    I tried to do this in the Angular theme and followed your instructions using the Quick CSS option.

    But the icon is not showing up. Can you please check if i’m using the right CSS code? (see screenshot: http://bit.ly/ICyJbK)

    You need to use an absolute url in this case. Replace “/images/home.png.” with “http:/mywebsite.com/images/home.png”, etc. However this is just an example ! Make sure that the url path is correct and that you can view the image in your browser.

    thanks. i tried it out but the result was not so good, so i will stick to the ‘regular’ menu.

    Sorry it didn’t work for you. Let us know if you need more help.
