Use widget on MainPage sidebar

   Hi all,

   I haven't been able to find an answer for this in any earlier posts, but please send me a link if that is the case.

   How do make the sidebar on the MainPage use a widget instead of the default recent post list it is providing?

   Hi,
   the frontpage sidebar is hardcoded (no widget area) - to replace the code with a widget area is a bit of work so I can't help you with it but you can try to replace the sidebar yourself by following the instructions here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-create-new-widget-area
