If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
Hi! New to blogging, creating websites, wordpress etc (aka this is going to be a dumb question). So I purchased the Newscast theme and uploaded it to wordpress….but when I go to change the site title from “Newscast” to the name of my site, I save & publish but then nothing comes of it. The site title still says “Newscast” with “A themeforest blog and magazine template” below. Can someone help please??
You can get rid of it by changing the logo image. Go to Newscast > General Options and select another logo image (or upload a new image).
Thanks for your reply. I just feel like I am missing something– when I put in a logo of my own, it awkwardly sits up top and the text of my site title doesn’t appear. And when I go without an image logo (in any theme), the text remains “Newscast” with “A themeforest blog and magazine template” below.
All I really want is for the header to have my site name in the title and I feel like I’m making this harder than it should be but it just won’t cooperate!
There isn’t currently an option for the site title to display as text. The logo displays in its place with the site title set as the title of the page.
Gotcha….that makes sense. So I’m assuming people either create a “logo” on their own or get someone to create it? I put the logo in quotes because it’s really just text like I want but made graphically…?
