    Hi,

    I have embedded a video on the slideshow using the iframe embed option in the slider. It is currently the second slide in the slideshow.

    I am using the “Fade Slider” and have set the slideshow to rotate by default to ‘yes.’ However, I do not want the slideshow to autorotate while the video is playing, which it currently does. How do I get slide 2 – the video slide – to pause while the video is playing (the video is 1:37 min long) and then continue to rotate after it is done?

    I have tried to do this with no success:

    if($counter == 1)
    {
    $this->autoplay = “false”;
    sleep(120);
    $this->autoplay = “true”;

    }

    Thank you!

    Hey rjrlaw!

    I marked this for Kriesi. As far as I know this is not possible because of technical reasons but maybe Kriesi has an idea.

    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hey rjrlaw and Dude,

    Has there been any resolution to this? or is there a way to pause the content slider on mouseover?

    Hi!

    Yes, you can pause the slideshow when you hover over it. Open up wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/contentslider.php and replace:

    $data = AviaHelper::create_data_string(array('autoplay'=>$autoplay, 'interval'=>$interval, 'animation' => $animation, 'show_slide_delay'=>30));

    with

    $data = AviaHelper::create_data_string(array('autoplay'=>$autoplay, 'interval'=>$interval, 'animation' => $animation, 'show_slide_delay'=>30, 'hoverpause'=>1));

    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter, and Thanks for the reply!

    It’s exciting to see that there is a way to turn a “hoverpause” feature on, unfortunately, I’m unable to get the code to work in my child theme.

    When I place the code in child-theme/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/content-slider.php nothing happens, but It does work if place the code in enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/content-slider.php

    Is there something special I need to do in order for my child theme to override content-slider.php?

    Also, is there a way to make the slider just stop on hover/mouseover? Currently, If I mouse off of the video the slider will still advance to the next slide.

    Hi!

    Thank you for the update.

    Create a folder named “shortcodes” on the child theme folder then add this on the child theme’s functions.php:

    add_filter('avia_load_shortcodes', 'avia_include_shortcode_template', 15, 1);
    function avia_include_shortcode_template($paths)
    {
    $template_url = get_stylesheet_directory();
    array_unshift($paths, $template_url.'/shortcodes/');

    return $paths;
    }

    Copy the contentslider.php file inside the shortcodes folder.

    Regards,
    Ismael
