I just installed Eunoia and am trying to set up my portfolio page (all Vimeo videos). What I can’t figure out is how to display a thumbnail which links to the video instead of the Vimeo preview itself. I want it to display and function just like your “Forest Life” example on the Themeforest live preview.

Is there a plugin that I’m missing?

    Hi,

On your featured media box, click “Add video url or iframe” button then click to define preview image to upload the thumbnail. :)

Thanks for the fast response! A couple other questions if you don’t mind:

    1) I was able to import my old WordPress site portfolio to some extent into this template but all of my thumbnails display a small broken link icon on them. Any idea what would cause this and how to fix it?

    2) Your portfolio template is great except that when you click on the thumbnail for a video, it plays in a thumbnail sized player instead of opening a larger player on a new page or opening a shadowbox. Any easy way to fix this?

    Thank you for your time!

I think I know what’s causing the missing image icons on my thumbnails (not a broken link icon). I have it set to display black and white thumbnails and they aren’t black and white. When I hover over the thumbnail, the missing image icon disappears.

    Hi Matt,

For those missing image icons, try to re-upload them, to make sure it works. When you have imported the settings of the old WordPress file, you should also copy the images from it’s uploads folder(located inside wp-content).

Is there anyway to fix this? I’d be ok with having a thumbnail that doesn’t play and then when it opens up the jquery page, the slideshow is defaulted on picture 2 (which would be the actual video).

    Hi,

@thekillingtre: On the Featured media, you can click Add Video or Iframe by URL then supply the thumbnail image.
