I found a similar error in the replacement of the host,

I still can't reproduce this issue - you can try to "hardcode" the image width with following code css code (eg add it to css/custom.css):
.three.units.alpha.blog-meta.meta-color img{
width: 300px !important;
}If you don't to affect other browsers add the code to header.php before the closing head tag and wrap it into a "Conditional comment" like:
<!--[if lte IE 8]>
.three.units.alpha.blog-meta.meta-color img{
width: 300px !important;
}
