If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
When you resize the browser window so that you have to scroll horizontally to view the entire page (or if someone is using 800×600 resolution), weird background stuff happens. I couldn’t really find a succinct way to describe what I’m talking about, so I decided a screen-shot would probably do better:
Is there a fix for that?
That’s a problem nearly all themes suffer from – the reason is a css property called “width:100%”. Browsers always calculate these 100% from the desktop resultion, so if you use 800px width and the footer needs 1280px you’ll end up with a broken background. At the moment there’s no solution for this problem – the themes would need some modifications (css and php) to solve it.
ahhh gotcha, thanks for the info. I noticed similar behavior on other random websites (non avisio) and figured it was something I’d probably just have to deal with. But it doesn’t seem like any people visiting my site are using 800×600 screen res anyway :)
