What determines the order in which products are displayed on shop?

I can't figure this out to save the life of me. It's not by SKU, it's not by date added, it's not alphabetical. Can someone tell me how I can manipulate the order in which products are displayed on my shop? Thanks! - Mark

Okay... just noticed it displays products alphabetically, ascending. Any way I can change to date, descending?

Hey,
it seems like it's not (easily) possible at the moment (see http://www.woothemes.com/support-forum/?viewtopic=68982 or http://www.woothemes.com/support-forum/?viewtopic=62269 ). The woocommerce devs recommd to use http://www.visser.com.au/woocommerce/plugins/super-sort/ however the plugin doesn't work with WooCommerce 1.4.1.

According to this thread: http://www.woothemes.com/support-forum/?viewtopic=67183 you can use a code snippet ( https://gist.github.com/1622323 ) but many users report it doesn't work with 1.4.x anymore.
