We aren’t quite sure what’s going on. I’ve tried re-posting the affected post(s) that seems to be creating the issue with the slider, and haven’t been able to find the coding disagreement. I’ve switched to a different featured media item and we see the same issue arising – it’s only back to normal if we don’t use any featured media.
What’s we’re seeing happen: the featured media for a post is appearing first in the slider media section, but then is repeated below in place of a smaller thumbnail version (with the next featured posts appearing on top of the media). I’m seeing this happen on two multiple posts with multiple images on separate pages. Any advice on the solution.
And thank you as always in advance!!

Was this working correctly at one time or has it never worked? In the meantime, I’m going to flag other team members to see if they may be able to help since I’m not as familiar with Shoutbox.

This had been working perfectly up until yesterday, when we did our content populating pushMay 1, 2012 at 2:49 pm #73728
Can you try changing the media displayed options from the theme options. Ex – in the Main News Page tab, change which categories should be featured posts then save, then revert to your proper ones. Just in an effort to refresh your saved variables and get things working properly.
Have you done anything at all in the past week or so to the wordpress installation or server? Added a service or installed a new plugin? Updated anything?

I’ve tried re-setting the categories but it seems to have had no effect on the slider’s issue. The only thing that I could think of that may have been affecting it was the ‘all in one seo pack’ plugin that we activated yesterday morning. I tried to deactivate this earlier this morning to see if it resolved the problem, alas it did not. We haven’t installed any other plugins etc. to the worpress plugin system or to our server.May 1, 2012 at 4:04 pm #73730
Can you leave it disabled then re-save the main page options again. If you still don’t have luck, can you send create and send me the details for a temporary admin account so I can check it out first hand.
Send the information to devinvinson (at) gmail.com and please include a link to this thread so my junk mail filter doesn’t grab it :)

I think I see part of the issue. The “Home” page has the “Frontpage” dynamic template which then overwrites anything on the Home page. Then, the Main News Page options are mostly overwritten as well by the dynamic template so that the two sort of clash for what actually shows up.
I changed the Main News page options to disable the featured post slider since the dynamic template is handling it. What I think you need to do now is, use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ to regenerate your thumbnails to fix the one thumnail image that is way too big and breaking the thumbnail slider on the home page.

Thanks for this. The regenerate thumbnails plugin really helped with this after you went in and made adjustments. we’ve had it happen a few more times since, but each time the regenerate thumbnails plugin saves it.
