    Hi.
I see many example pages of what your Short Code output is but I can’t find a list of the actual shortcodes anywhere. Shouldn’t this be in the documentation? I am trying to add shortcodes into the LayerSlider for buttons.. but it doesn’t seem to be working.

Also, when I am in a text editor, and click on the wizard icon, I only see 3 options:
    my wizard only shows 3
    why is this?

Finally, When I choose “Default” editor after using “Visual Editor” the edit box is blank. Shouldn’t I see the shortcode list of output? Or is your theme limited?

    Thanks

    Hi efishinsea!

There is no single list of shortcodes available since there are so many possible configurations for them and the advanced layout editor or shortcode dropdown (magic wand) should be used instead of trying to write them out manually.

When you are in the advanced layout editor the shortcodes available from the magic wand icon are limited to those that can be nested inside a text element.

The Advanced Layout Builder and the visual editor are two separate entities so when you switch back and forth you don’t see the output of one in the other. This is on purpose to prevent a single mis-type or single character error from breaking an entire layout.

    Best regards,
    Devin

Hmm. I use other modern themes that show the output of the Visual Editor when you switch to the default editor, which is very nice as it allows you to customize the page even more than the limited visual editor options allow. This should be a feature in your next release.

In my Visual Editor, as the image above explains, I only see 3 shortcodes, and not all that appear in your demo. Any suggestions as to why they aren’t all showing up?

Finally, a partial list of shortcodes and their properties would be most helpful, particularly in regard to the buttons. I can’t understand why you wouldn’t include this on your demos/documentation. It’s very common to do so and helps your customers. I have seen many other posts in your support forums (that were all closed) asking for the same thing… seems like an easy thing to remedy.

    If you don’t see:

then you should disable all active plugins to make sure there are no conflicts with the theme.

There are definitely going to be difference with this theme and others. The Advanced Layout Editor is not available in any other theme available so there is no comparison there. Others may do the drag and drop style interface differently but differences are intentional here and so far have worked for the best.

If I am using the Default Editor, I see all of the shortcode options, and in Visual Editor, I only see the 3 pictured above. I do not have any plugins enabled.

Visual Drag/Drop editors are used in other themes, but your version is not. The others I use are little more intuitive, I think, but I am still figuring how the nuances of yours.

I am also finding that the LayerSlider is not working in IE, but is working ok in other browsers. The code loads, but nothing shows up. Very odd.

The visual editor is the name for the default WordPress editor. If you are talking about when in a text element in the Advanced Layout Builder (where you can drag and drop theme elements to create layouts) then the shortcodes are limited to those supported inside a text element.

If you have not already watched it, I go over all of the layout elements in this video: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927359

And create a quick layout in this video: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927358
