Hi, I just reinstalled velvet however I cannot access any admin pages without getting the white screen of death
I followed advice from another post to check what the problem was and not receive the message: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /home/linweb06/p/philipwhiteweddings.co.uk-1035281568/user/htdocs/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php on line 1140
My hosting company can’t help and are saying that the max PHP memory available is 32mb. I’ve also tried deleted plugins folder but still no joy. I can activate other themes fine.
Can you help? You have my ftp login details from previous emails.
have a look at this thread: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/problem-downloading-dummy-content#post-22359
If it’s not possibe to increase the allocated memory because of hoster limitations you need to upgrade your hosting plan or switch to a better hoster.
Sorry this didn’t work. Just a little confused as the site has always worked fine before. Any other suggestions?
Maybe you activated the multisite feature or new plugins which might affect the memory usage? Please talk to your hoster – they need to give you 64mb or 128mb at least. WP devs recommend 256mb officially.
My host wont provide more than 32mb. I managed to fix the problem by switching back to a windows server.
