I made some custom widget areas for some specific pages and it works just fine. If have many other pages which do not need a custom widget area. For these pages I use the standard widget area called “Sidebar pages”, however when I add a widget to this area, the widgets also show up within my custom widgets area. Is this the way it should work! Maybe I overlooked something.

    Thanks

    Hey Glenn!

Widget settings can be frustrating sometimes. Please remove everything on Sidebar pages then place them back. See if the widgets disappear. If not, you can use this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/

    Best regards,

Thanks, but the widget logic gave many erros so I end up giving everypage their own sidebar. Which dit the job but no ideal.
However how do I set a sidebar for the 404 error page? I made a costum widget area for the right sidebar but that doesnot effect the 404 error page?

    Rgds,

    Hi!

You need to edit 404.php file inside wp-content\themes\replete folder

    Cheers!

I am aware that I need to edit the 404 file. But but can you please provide the code for the full width page as I am not a developer.

    Thanks
