when i use the widget area for a sidebar on a specific page. it still displays the side bar that is specified for all pages.

Hi,
First go to Theme Options > Sidebar > Look for Select a PAGE that should receive a new widget area:, select a page. Then visit Appearance > Widgets > You can see a new widget area, supply that with widgets.

Hi, I did that. the thing is. There is still the sidebar info that is in the widget area, displayed on all pages. that sometimes even over rules it. what to do to not have this?
Hi bevlogenverf,
Wordpress uses a widget area hierarchy that you need to use plugins to overrule. For example, the Pages sidebar shows up on All pages and will come before the other widget content specific to a page.
If you want to have pages with custom widget areas, you will need to either remove the top level widgets and populate all pages individually, or use a plugin like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic-visual/ and then use that plugins logic to make certain widgets show up only on certain pages.
