    I imagine this is an easy question but I’m having a difficult time figuring out the answer.

    On my contact page I want to have a specific widget area for just that page. I know how to achieve this under Display, General Options. However I can’t figure out how to get ride of the Archives & Categories widgets that are currently appearing on the Contact page. When I add in my custom widgets, they appear under the Archives & Categories. I’ve looked in the Widget area, everywhere!

    Ps: I’m using the Contact template for this page.

    You need to remove following code from sidebar.php if you want to get rid of “Archives & Categories”:

    // <!-- you can delete from here --> // ?>
    <div class='box box_small'>
    <h3>Categories</h3>
    <ul>
    <?php wp_list_cats('sort_column=name&optioncount=0&hierarchical=0'.$exclude); ?>
    </ul>
    </div>

    <div class='box box_small'>
    <h3>Archive</h3>
    <ul>
    <?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); ?>
    </ul>
    </div>
    <?php

    // <!-- until here --> //
