    Hi,

    Some time ago we discussed the following thread: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/widgets-under-title-portfolio-items?replies=3#post-117909 but unfortunately the topic was closed without the suggested solution working. I have tried exactly what was mentioned in the post but it did not work. Perhaps this has to do because I have a different design of the portfolio items? http://bit.ly/18tkfMv

    Thanks.

    Hi Mark,

    I’m not sure we can provide a complete solution but I can at least point you in the right direction. In your includes>loop-portfolio-single.php you would originally have had this:

    <?php

    echo "<div class='four units'>";
    echo "<h1 class='post-title portfolio-single-post-title'>".get_the_title()."</h1>";

    $meta = avia_portfolio_meta(get_the_ID());
    if($meta)
    {
    echo avia_advanced_hr(false, 'small');
    echo $meta;
    }

    //display the actual post content
    echo avia_advanced_hr(false, 'small');
    the_content(__('Read more &rarr;','avia_framework'));

    ?>

    It looks like you’ve moved the_content intot he eight unit grid instead. What you need to do now however is include a sidebar (widget area) in its place. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_sidebar and http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/dynamic_sidebar . So you’ll need a new function to register your sidebar area and then add the dynamic_sidebar function into the loop-portfolio-single.php where the_content used to be to output that widget area contents.

    Hi Devin,

    Thanks for your answer, but this is too much for me :) My skills are too limited to arrange this, so I’ll leave it the way it is.

    I’ll close the topic then :)
