Hi I just purchased the Flashlight theme with woocommerce installed for selling photography prints. I've been playing with it for about five days now, and I'm at the point where I'm adding products using woocommerce. I have a single print products that has many variations (print sizes and materials). Now I want to create a similar one but don't want to start from scratch so I used the "Duplicate" in the product list or similarly using "Copy to a new draft" in Edit Product. That function is really great to save time, but it also copies and share the Gallery content. Meaning all the images in the gallery is shared across all the duplicate products. If I change/add/remove images in the original or duplicate product, all the images in duplicate products are changed too because they all share the same gallery! How can I prevent this from happening in duplicates where product clone has its own gallery independently? Thanks for your time.
Woocommerce's product "Copy to a new draft" copies and shares the gallery

Hi jdamaso,
For now, you could try creating the product without the gallery and then duplicating that. Then add the images to the duplicate and see if the original continues to share the portfolio id.
I'll report the issue to Kriesi to see if a fix or function can be added into the next update to help with this.

Thanks for reply. I did the procedure and still does it. I created a sample product with no gallery then duplicated it. Later, I added gallery pictures in the original product. I then checked the duplicate and guess what? It has gallery pictures created as well which is supposed to be empty. The duplicates doesn't even share product ID with original.

Hey! Thats unfortunately a problem in the way the theme gallery works. I couldnt find a solution for this yet, so for now I can only recommend to not use the duplicate feature :/
sorry for that
