If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
As the title suggests, I am trying to get the portfolio part of a site I’m working showing the correct part of an image as featured. I have a large portrait image set as the featured image, but the box automatically centres on the middle of the image. Since it’s a drawing of a person this means I get a view of their groin, whereas I’d prefer a view of the head (i.e. the top part of the image). Is there some way to specify which part of the image will be shown in the featured image area?
Thanks again for such an awesome theme.
Unfortunately no there is not. What you can do however is crop the image yourself and upload the croped version directly overtop of the generated image via ftp. It depends on where you have the images set to be stored but this is the best way to get absolute control of how the final result is.
Shame that this feature isn’t part of the theme – may I suggest it for a future release? I’ll sort it out via FTP anyway as you suggest. Thanks anyway, love the theme :)
