I want to switch from my html version to wordpress, but i have this cool products page i have built, but im wondering if i would be able to do the same thing on wordpress, if its possible or not?
See what im trying to do: http://elitebots.net/products.html

this should be possible. You can use post meta fields to add your price values to the portfolio items. In template_portfolio.php replace:
<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
get_post_meta($post->ID, 'price', true);
Then set custom fields for your portfolio items and name them “price”. As the value type in the dollar amount.May 1, 2011 at 11:04 pm #45016
Thank you, but i also have one more problem…
Im kinda copying the portfolio page, and making the images bigger. I’ve sorta been successful, except for the fact that i need to make the content area wider.
How would go about changing the width of the content area?

1) Adjust following code in style.css:
Adjust the width to your needs (i.e. 220px).
Then search for:
padding: 0 0 25px 30px;
And change the width value to the same width value you used for .portfolio_item. You can adjust the padding if you like too (you’ll get some px width).
Changing the content width is possible – search for following css code and adjust it as you like:
However the problem is that Twicet is a boxed template so you must adjust various background images….May 2, 2011 at 6:46 pm #45018
Okay, i did all that, and it got all screwed up with the background, like you said it would, So i edited “bg_slice1” and “bg_slice2” to 125% their actual size, and im making some progress :)
But, now bg_slice1 is a little offset.

My code now is
Do you know how to fix this?
Thanks for all your help so far by the way :)May 3, 2011 at 7:38 pm #45019
