    I have both the HTML and WordPress version and…

    I want to switch from my html version to wordpress, but i have this cool products page i have built, but im wondering if i would be able to do the same thing on wordpress, if its possible or not?

    See what im trying to do: http://elitebots.net/products.html

    I want to copy that html products page, and re create it in wordpress.

    If anyone knows any ideas on how, please reply.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    this should be possible. You can use post meta fields to add your price values to the portfolio items. In template_portfolio.php replace:

    <?php the_excerpt(); ?>

    with:

    <?php
    get_post_meta($post->ID, 'price', true);
    the_excerpt(); ?>

    Then set custom fields for your portfolio items and name them “price”. As the value type in the dollar amount.

    Thank you, but i also have one more problem…

    Im kinda copying the portfolio page, and making the images bigger. I’ve sorta been successful, except for the fact that i need to make the content area wider.

    How would go about changing the width of the content area?

    http://droidtestsite.tk/?page_id=5 <— there is the example of why i need to. So i can have 3 things on each line.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    1) Adjust following code in style.css:

    .portfolio_item{
    height:180px;
    overflow:hidden;
    padding:5px;
    position:relative;
    width:292px;
    }

    Adjust the width to your needs (i.e. 220px).

    Then search for:

    .small_box{
    float:left;
    padding: 0 0 25px 30px;
    position:relative;
    width:292px;
    }

    And change the width value to the same width value you used for .portfolio_item. You can adjust the padding if you like too (you’ll get some px width).

    Changing the content width is possible – search for following css code and adjust it as you like:

    #content{
    float:left;
    padding:0 10px;
    position:relative;
    width:940px;
    }

    However the problem is that Twicet is a boxed template so you must adjust various background images….

    Okay, i did all that, and it got all screwed up with the background, like you said it would, So i edited “bg_slice1″ and “bg_slice2″ to 125% their actual size, and im making some progress :)

    But, now bg_slice1 is a little offset.

    http://droidtestsite.tk/?page_id=5 <— see there.

    My code now is

    #content{

    float:left;

    padding:0 10px;

    position:relative;

    width:996px;

    }

    Do you know how to fix this?

    Thanks for all your help so far by the way :)

    Hey,

    I get a 404 error if I try to visit this page. The website displays fine for me at the moment though :)

    Sorry, changed the page to.. http://droidtestsite.tk/my-products/

    This is making me mad, its throwing my whole website background off.

    Do you have like an MSN or Skype or something? I need serious help with this haha.
