Hello, i hastily installed wp4.6 last night thinking it was not so new… i think it worked ok but I was using a slightly older enfold theme. updating enfold then killed the site with error half way through. Site and wp down. I changed the enfold file name to restore wordpress on default theme but now cannot use enfold anymore as it immediately kills the site and the wp again. So now i am trying to restore a backup file to get rid of wp4.6 but cannot get it to work (i never had to restore a backup before)
can anyone help me out. whats the best course of action??Hey leighrclarke,
Could you please try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

RikardSeems like Enfold theme isn’t working well with WP4.6. I updated without thinking to check if Enfold would be ok with the new version… looks like it’s best to revert back to WP4.5.x…
yeah i thought the wp 4.6 message had been there for a month or two so should be ok. just updated without checking. big mistake. I have totally lost the site. database broken. trying to restore a backup with my hosting. but site has been down for 2 days. serious doubts about continuing to use enfold. i know its my fault but there should be some kind of notification from theme producer to my email (something kind of warning).

I have no problem at all running the theme on my local install using 4.6 or here on the official kriesi.at site, we’ve had no reports of problems from others users having these problems either so I think it’s something local on you install. We would have to have a look at it to make sure though so please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

Rikardoh good for you man, does the army of developers you have at hand help? sorry for my attitude but the update to the enfold theme broke my site on 4.6 with an error during the update. I didnt get much/any support in time. site has been down for 4 days now and I have to rebuild it as my host and I could not even get a backup to work.

When I visit your site I get a “Maintenance mode” message please check the screenshot below. The site is working correctly on my end. You may not see the changes until the cached files are cleared in your browser.
Please try to hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + F5 on your browser or press the F12 key to open chrome dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload” and review the site again.

Vinayi appreciate the thought but it is because i have reloaded wp and put up maintenance page. back on wp4.5 for now. i can rebuild the site quicker than it takes to fix the problem.
